I trust that this email finds you well. My sister in law (E Munien) passed away through medical malpractice at a Durban hospital in Dec 2014. Her brain and heart was removed as it was confirmed that it was medical malpractice by a pathologist. In Jan 2016, the matter was reported to the Health Profession Council of SA. Its almost 9 years now, there has been no progress on this matter. Meetings are set up and at the last hour they are cancelled. As a family we need to get closure as her 10th year death anniversary is approaching. We are kindly requesting the intervention of the Portfolio Committee in this matter so that it can be expedited so that her brain and heart can be buried in her grave.
