Honourable Minister Kubayi
Congratulations with your appointment on 5 August.
I am a property attorney www.mdwinc.co.za and I represent various stakeholders, ranging from fellow conveyancing attorneys, property developers, estate agents and mortgage originators. We also have a Flisp partnership with LexisNexis who represents some 3 500 firms of attorneys.
We also work with one of the largest mortgage origination companies who can provide thousands of Flisp applications, [some 40 % of their home loan applications meet the Flisp criteria] but they decided not to submit Flisp applications due to the delays caused in registrations of transfers and mortgage bonds when a Flisp application forms part of the finance solutions of the property transaction. These delays tarnish their reputation.
We are all frustrated as the processing of Flisp applications and approvals are delayed to the extend that property developers and mortgage originators do not even want to submit Flisp applications to the NHFC.
Can we perhaps set up a meeting to discuss this as this is blocking the full implementation of the housing delivery policy of the Government?
