I stay in a community with multiple foreign nationals. Could we please have an update on the visa backlog for South African visas.

What is the status of the visa applications made by foreign nationals after 31 March 2023. In our own situation my wife made an application for her renewal spousal visa 20 April 2023 at VFS Pretoria. Her current spousal visa expired 7 July 2023. We entered SA in August 2023.

How do we travel internationally, since she will soon reach the 3 month limit on the visitors/tourist visa when we re-entered South Africa.

We are unable to find any current update in the news regarding visa backlogs and waivers/extensions.
