On the 04/09/2025 I was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. While making a file i was told to pay R165 which i said I dont have it and im unemployed. Next to me was a foreigner with a fraudulent smart card ID she was told to pay R800 for treatment which her employer was able to do. While I was given subpar treatment and made to beg for medication to go home. I was told by the doctor they don't have what I need and given a prescription to go buy it at a pharmacy. The initial treatment plan by my referral doctor was surgery and they said that I didn't need it. I saw the clerk reporting to them that I did not pay and feel like I was mistreated because of this situation. I live in Roodepoort. I think the hospital should be investigated for such inhumane behavior.
