Dear John Huizen - There is much potential in the Hankey / Patensie orange, naartjie and strawberry agricultural route for much further development as well as for becoming a major tourist attraction, like the wineland route in the Western Cape.

However, it was brought to me that much unemployment exists in Hankey with surrounding farmers preferring to employ Zimbabweans and workers from other surrounding South African countries to work on their farms.

The potential can be reached with greater co-operation between farmers and the inhabitants of the Hankey area. So, please look at this very important developing agricultural area in the Eastern Cape. All should benefit.
