I am a resident in Riverlea Ward 68 Johannesburg since 1981 I am writing on behalf of all my brothers and sisters living in Riverlea and surrounding areas that are affected by the the unrehabilitated mines close to our residential area. Our people are suffering and dying because of the Mining dust from the tailings that has been left unrehabilitated. We are begging you the ANC Goverment to hold the Mining companies accountable for not rehabilitating the open cast mining behind the TC Esterhuysen Primary School which is over a 100 years old and the Heritage Site next to the school where the first gold was discovered in 1886.
