Hello there
My name is Omari, I'm a Tanzanian in China at the moment for my bachelor's degree.
So I got to watch your speech on,"forgive us Afrika".
What you said is really powerful. I admire you and thank you for that.
I have sat and done some research on Africa for a while now and every time things just seem to get worse. This has been the latest in that line and it is really sad.
What saddens me the most is for me as an African alive today and witness these while other races are living their so called "best lives".
We Africans have been the hopless race for a very long time, the people who don't know where they are or what they are doing.
I personally am freaking tired of that.
I want an Africa where a black farmer in the deepest villages of the Sahara can afford to take their pregnant wife to a hospital without worrying about how they'll get there because it is 20 kms away and it's raining and all they have is a bicycle and a torch and the hospital doesn't have sufficient anything! Instead he takes his wife in to a good quality hospital, with good doctors and things that work to a human standard.
I want to live in an Afrika where a black fisherman's child can go to school in complete uniform with shoes and all to a school that has books and enough quality teachers.
Where a primary school teacher can have enough money to just decide to go for a three week vacation to the beach.
I want to live in an Afrika where we Afrikans enjoy our Afrika not suffer in our own home.
And I know this for sure that most African youths feel the same.
I don't want to wish for all this. These times we live in are very hard on Africans. But I still don't want all these to be a mere dream.
So I have thought of some solutions. I can't give them all in this one letter. But I will certainly be happy to have a discussion with you as your younger Afrikan brother.

I hope to hear from you soon. I really do hope to hear from you.
Thanks and may you stay blessed.
