Hon Dr Mark John Burke MP
Kindly note the concerns I have consistently raised with the relevant Stutory Authorities including the National Treasury that there is a current lacuna in our Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 2001 which poses a grave risk toward our Financial Services System in so far as the Legislature for no good reason, has elected to exclude Market Infrastructures from the definition of Accountable Institutions within Schedule 1 to the FICA.
This is no mere oversight for Stock Exchanges and Central Securities Depositories may be exposed to heightened AML Risk.
