My husband is a foreign national struggling to obtain a visa to conduct business in South Africa.

We relocated to South Africa as a family at the beginning of 2023. Since then we have worked with an immigration agent to prepare the correct documentation for his South African visa.

We were thankful to submit his completed application in April 2024 at Gqeberha VFS Global visa office.

November 2024 we received confirmation that his application has not moved from Gqeberha office for the past year and half. He has not received an update nor any confirmation since April 2023.

This has caused a series of problems. For a business man not being able to conduct business in South Africa or even open a bank account, this is detrimental. My husband would like to transfer all his funds to South Africa, but unable to do so since he is not in the “system”

How can a foreign national business man establish business in South Africa?
