I wish to file a complaint regarding the fire arm amnesty.

I have now visited 2 police stations to surrender my fire arm.

At the Linden police station in Johannesburg I was told that they could not accept the fire arm as it was lunch time and they were too busy and that I should come back another day.

I then went to the Sandton police station and was told the offices were closed and they would not be able to accept my surrender. Come back another day.

If it so difficult to surrender a fire arm it is no wonder people do not want to surrender them. This approach by the police is not acceptable. It is no wonder that public confidence in the police is so low.
