This extra loadshedding for us in the Modimolle area is surely not right. The whole country is on stage 4 bur we are on stage 4 plus approx 2 and a half extra hours. Yesterday our power was off from 1pm to 5.20pm and again from 9pm to 1.25am. We have no industry in our town and are mostly retired persons.

Residents of Modimolle Mookgophong Local Municipality are informed that there is an emergency load reduction implemented by Eskom because the load is high even after implementing load shedding.

All the stations that are overloading are switched off when load reduction is implemented.
Eskom load reduction will be implemented just after the national load shedding for 2 hours until further notice.

The country is currently on stage 4 load shedding until further notice, Eskom said.

Mookgophong town and farm lines are affected and the power will be restored at 09:30.
