Sorry to escalate this to your level but it is a question that I cannot get answered. Is there a way for a sole proprietor to get an essential services permit? The work I do, dstv satellite services, definitely qualifies but biz portal on the cipc website requires an enterprise number which I doubt any sole prop in this country has. Emails to lockdown exemptions @dti. Co. Za go unanswered and the cipc phone doesn't even ring before cutting off. I was well prepared for 3 weeks lockdown and can stretch to another 2 weeks but beyond that, and it looks likely, things will start to get somewhat desperate.
