Dear Mr. Cele
I write this to you without predudice.
Firstly I would like to point out that what you are doing to the people of South Africa is extremely selfish on your behalf. You do understand that we are a third world country and based on that you can not expect people to obey the laws if what we need is essential to the individual. You might not be in the same bracket as the average South African and you are neither above everybody as far as a human being is concerned.
All we are asking is a small matter in the greater scheme of things.
People are already in a state of worry, now we have to worry about how we are going to get through tomorrow without irritation.
People are becoming more and more irritated and soon this is going to lead to further ramifications and if you do not understand this, then I do not know how to make you understand.
Yes certain crimes are down, but you can not blame that on not selling alcohol, that is just being facetious. The country is in lock down yes I understand but you are allowing the under world to carry on and it also taking the SAPS away from doing what they are supposed to be doing, keeping people off the street. The man power are being used to criminalise law abiding citizens just trying to get by.
The other factor to take in consideration is the fact that economically the country is in ruins and selling tabaco and alcohol would surely stimulate the coffers a little bit, so please think about that. All we are asking is to have little bit of freedom to purchase what we need to keep our sanity and you will be the hero and not the villain as you are currently portrayed as being.
Rather save lives as to making our lives unbearable at the moment, there is enough other things to worry about.
So please reconsider your thoughts and make the people of South Africa happy again.
