Short and sweet - please consider converting Eskom to a buyer (from cheapest cost producers) and seller or distributor (on a commercial basis) to consumers, of electricity .
On this model, Eskom doesn't need to "own" all - or ANY - of its power production stations.
It can sell Kusile or Madupi (and others) to international power companies and public shareholders, reduce or eliminate its debt and won't need to raise tariffs from local consumers to service its debt.
Competition to be a preferred power supplier to Eskom will encourage local producers to be more competitive and cost efficient.
Everybody wins.
