Please assist getting answers and direction regarding above named matter from our Minister.
Myself, like approximately 950 other members, are waiting since May 2019 to receive clear direction on finalization of the above named process that is in line with the invation of Treasury for Government officials to retire early with a special benefit of not being penalized. This is in line with Treasury's policy to reduce the wage bill of Government officials. See HQ letter 4/7/1 dt 2019-05-14 par 1 where HQ stated Minister has approved process and we can partake.
Our HQ is quiet and with enquiries to them are they stating that they wait for the Minister of Police to approve. A letter was later send to inform us that we must wait for Minister. The Minister last year said they must let us retire in grace with our families.
I , like the other members, qualify in terms of the criteria set by HQ.
Question is why are they playing with our lifes? Why wait for 7 months? Our families, like us members, also have expectations and planning to do in terms of retirement. With 40 years service and 26 years as a senior officer do I expect to be treated with respect and transparecy.
Your assistance, on behalf of myself and other SAPS members that has applied for early pension, will be appreciated in a speedily finalizing of this process. For obvious reasons can I not disclose my identity and I hope you will understand.
With respect and appreciation!
