Dear Mr Groenewald,

I do not agree with the early parole of Moodley.
He should receive the death sentence for the crime he committed, let alone out on early parole.

SA has a 12% conviction rate. A 132/ 100000 rape rate with 70% of rape unreported for fear of stigmatisation or re victimisation. SA’s femicide rate is five times higher than the global average.

We need stricter laws in SA where criminals know that the crimes they commit will be dealt with harshly. Letting someone off early for a brutal murder is unacceptable.

We need men like Moodley locked up for life or preferably sentenced to death, not let out on early parole.
