I work engineering company in Silverton (Tshwane) as an artisan, our white colleques are being paid more salary than us but we do same work and our payslips indicate us as we are all toolmakers without grades, further in metal engineering main agreement scope we should only work 40 hours but our employer placed us under 45hours a week. Every time when we engage with this issues he threatens to fire us. So is it acceptable for my employer to pay me less because I am an African, while I am qualified artisan and pay white artisans more because they are white??
