Mr Schreiber
I live in Durbanville, applied for a passport by driving to Absa Stellenbosch, and DHA had my passport ready within 10 days. Which is commendable.
However: I was told my passport was ready at "Boston Centre", 99 Voortrekker Rd in Bellville. Which is the wrong address. I eventually confirmed the "right" address is at 177 Voortrekker Rd Bellville.
I tried to make a booking via Babs, but Bellville has been removed from the Western Cape branch list. I contacted a Quincy Shenxane via WhatsApp who stated the following: "Don't mind the old (Boston Centre) address, it's the old address. There is no booking for Bellville anymore. All bookings are moved to Tygervalley...so u just have to be there before 8am....they start with the collections."
I checked with Tygervalley DHA branch, and there was a sign stating "these offices are not open".
Mr Schreiber, as much as I appreciate you declaring war on the long queues at DHA branches, you cannot simply delete Babs Bellville because Tygervalley will open at some point! I'm 62 yrs old, and the queue at DHA Bellville was so long when you don't have an appointment, the officials were very unhelpful, and the heat was unbearable. No chairs for the elderly either. I refuse to go wait in the queue after 5 am in the morning, as it's a security risk.
Kindly address this situation, as I'm running out of time to collect my passport, and I have to queue for an unabridged birth certificate as well! This is too much to bear.
