Mr Sauls, were quite puzzled by your history and cultural heritage so this is a request for clarification please.
You say you were born in Kliptown on the outskirts of Johannesburg. You further state you are a Boesman of Koi San tribes - but it seems as though this is just a decision you made - how does the tribe feel about you stating you are one of them? How did this come about? Was there a ceremony where you were made an honorary member and is there evidence of such - or is it purely your decision to make?
The second issue is you being the MMC of Health in Gauteng which given the state it’s in and the corruption surrounding the department I would think when questioning witness in the Ad Hoc committee that a bit of humility on your part would go a long way.
Another Very corrupt industry is the Dept of transport that you were overseeing. All this just makes us wonder why - you keep reiterating it often as if it’s a security blanket?
