CONGRATULATIONS DOCTOR NKABANE ON YOUR NEW APPOINTMENT AS THE MINISTER OF DMRE.

AS YOUR FIRST ASSIGNMENT, AND I STAND CORRECTED, MAY YOU PLEASE PROMPTLY OFFICIALLY GAZETTE (GOVERNMENT GAZETTE) AND/OR FOR PUBLIC RECORD STIPULATE THE AMMENDED REGULATIONS ON THE MAXIMUM 100 MW "OWN GENERATION DEVIATION FROM THE NERSA AND IRP COMPLIANCE" REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH PRIVATE ENTITIES/BUSINESS AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT / MUNICIPALITIES THAT ARE FINANCIALLY VIABLE TO DO SO AS ANNOUNCED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE RSA. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT UNNECESSARY AND UNDUE BUREAUCRATIC IMPEDIMENTS ARE REMOVED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE OR WITHIN THE PROMISED/STIPULATED 60 DAYS.

.ALSO PLEASE ENSURE THAT THIS PRESIDENTIAL 100 MW OWN GENERATION UNDERTAKING BY THE PRESIDENT IS PROMINENTLY DISSSEMINATED AND PUBLICLY BROADCAST AS WIDE AS POSSIBLE.

The World Bank in its "Supreme Audit Institutions Independence Index" the World Bank assessed 118 countries and scored them out of 10, based on indicators such as financial and operational autonomy.
South Africa together with the Seychelles were the only two countries to receive full marks, i.e. 10 out 10 marks or perfect score out of the 118 countries.
Seventeen other countries received the next highest grade, i.e. less than 10 total marks.

Energy including electrical power generation is the fundamental driver of life from the age of the human discovery of fire to today's economic development and job creation.
Enabling South Africa to independently develop energy infrastructure and generate electrical power is at the heart of unleashing unprecedented enterprise development and job creation in ways only engineering and science can envision.

As a young incoming Minister you should have an open mind to embrace "new ways of unleashing and harnessing energy" that can only be imagined by engineering and science in EXACTLY a similar fashion as the South Korean VISION OF RE-ENGINEERING their economy.

For starters South Africa needs to re-imagine its ENERGY ECONOMY in the same way South Africa unleashed its TELECOMMUNICATION INDUSTRY in 1994.
Please embrace this proposition with the EXUBERANCE OF YOUTH YOU OBVIOUSLY POSSESS!

AGAIN CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW MINISTERIAL PORTFOLIO DOCTOR NKABANE!

REMEMBER:

Its harder to dig/MINE (with heavy Capital Equipment) from the ground for mineral resources and even far more challenging to BENEFICIATE (with decades of Intellectual Capital and "know how" in Machine Tooling Capital) mineral resources than it is to HARNESS the Sun, Wind, Hydrogen and Chemistry from NATURE and within the Earth's Atmosphere with the accompanying creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs
