Good day doctor. I trust you are well. I humbly seek your assistance in the issuing of a birth certificate for my three year old daughter. I am from lesotho and use a passport, my daughter was born in welkom in 2016.Her father is South African.Since her birth we have been going back and forth to welkom home affairs for her birth certificate. Firstly we were told to do DNA tests which we did and they confirmed that we are her parents. Secondly we were told to go to bongani hospital for a confirmation letter about her birth. Bongani confirmed that she was indeed born there. We gave all this documents to home affairs. We were told they would call us. Up to now we hvnt had any response it's almost 3years later. We have constantly had to travel to welkom to enquire about the status of the application for all this time since we are now based in Pretoria only to be told we will be called for an interview.We also went to home affairs in Pretoria where we were informed that we can only be assisted where the child was born which is in welkom.My child cnt go to school she cnt get on my medical aid. Please help us. We have run out of avenues to seek help
