Dear Leader

The EFF has declared this year as a year of public health. This great initiative should also assess the performance of the National Department of Health, which is a custodian of healthcare for the whole country.

It is therefore important that, the EFF as an organizations, should interact with people on the ground in order to obtained a valuable information on the challenges facing the NDOH. This would give impetus to this great initiative.

However, It was very disappointing to note that the portfolio committee on health, which you are a member of, only interacted with senior management and excluded labour representative during their visit at the National Department of Health today. Workers were not given an opportunity to present their perspective regarding recent developments in the NDOH building.

Instead, the portfolio committee, in their fact finding mission, chose to listen to the distorted version from the senior officials on the event at NDOH. They missed an opportunity to interact with the workers and their representatives in order to have an objective impression of the current situation at NDOH.

While we acknowledge that the EFF has minority representation in the portfolio committee on health, we hope that the portfolio committee will correct this oversight and provide opportunity for the workers to state their case... Amandla!!

Dear Percy

Unfortunately the committee of Health at Parliament where I am also serving DID NOT visit Civitas today.

Thanks
