Dear Health Minister Dr. Zwelini Mkhize.

I admire you for the work you are doing on the Covid19 epidemic and
I will make this as short as possible as I know you very busy.

Someone needs to be put in charge of ensuring that employees in stores are adhering to
the regulations you have put in place.

Today I was at the Blue Route Mall in Bergvliet, Cape Town.

Half of the employees at Clicks were not wearing masks not even the Manager. Then I popped over to the Checkers Hypermarket in the same mall and it was exactly the same situation there. 60% are wearing masks, 20% are not wearing them and 20% have it on or around their neck but do not actually wear them. On the other hand, Dischem at the same mall appeared to be doing a good job about it.

In addition most of the employees at all the stores don't practise social distancing. Dr Mkhize......please something needs to be done about this ASAP. I don't feel safe walking around those stores but I do need to buy supplies. The government needs to have a team of people who walk into these stores without letting the store know that they coming. Then the store needs to be fined. In addition when I told the store manager that customers should also be wearing masks, he said they cannot enforce that. Well that is easy for you to sort out. If you don't have a mask you cannot enter the store.

Thanks so much !!
