Dear Mr Zubi,
I never wanted to speak to any politician about institutionalised corruption in government. I’m raising this because there is a perception that the Western Cape is a beacon of good governance. After being an official at national, provincial and local Governement in the Western Cape for almost forty (40) years, I am convinced that the level of corruption in the Western Cape requires political intervention for the benefit of the poor and marginalised communities of Langa, where I was born and raised, and Khayelitsha, where I was responsible for service delivery for a significant portion of career.
I believe that you are the only politician, in my view, after being a senior public servant for almost 40 years, who is still innocent enough, and clean enough, to entrust with this information. Understand that I have been a senior public servant for almost forty (40) years, with senior tertiary education. I cannot divulge much on this platform but if I meet you one day I will divulge.
