Dear Mr President I hope you take the time to read my message. You are an intelligent manso please read what I have to say. In your state of the tion address, you mentioned that Early childhood education was very important. I studied and have my honours in Bachelor of Education. Presently I am studying for my honours in special education. For over two years I volunteered at a specially challenged school in Reservoir hills in Durban called R. P. Moodley school. I used to go early morning, be at school before 7 am. When a post was available with an older teacher retiring, I gave my CV to the principal of the school. All this time I only worked as a teaching aid without being paid. I wasn't given a class to teach. I approached Truro house in Durban for help and a manby the name Ron Reddy spoke to the principal to give me a job because I was a former pupil of this school in primary level before I moved to mainstream education. At this school every post is fixed, only relatives mostly get the jobs. When I asked the principal when will I be interviewed for the job, he said that the female teachers say I am not capable of teaching a class. I have a degree and all these Indian Teachers at this school only have diplomas. They are causing problems for me not to get a job, the principal instead of being proud that I excelled inspite of my speech problems is only thinking of himself. I have witnessed autistic children being abused, but I have remained silent. I have no one to go to. Instead of encouraging me, the teachers at this school are gossiping about my past, my family. Please Mr President, it being women's day, please help me. You can have this R. P. Moodley school investigated, at the end of the day the children count, the future of our country. I really want to meet you someday Mr President. State money and donations are spent lavishly among themselves.
Regards
