Good day

My name is Tsholofelo Mokgatlha, and I am a resident of Springfield Road in Midrand. I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the significant potholes that have emerged in the middle of our street.

The condition of Springfield Road has deteriorated significantly due to these large potholes, posing a safety hazard to motorists. These potholes have been present for quite some time now, and despite previous reports, they remain unresolved.

As a resident of this area, I am deeply concerned about the potential risks and inconvenience caused by these potholes. I kindly request urgent action to address this issue and repair the road as soon as possible.

Could you please provide information on when these potholes will be fixed and the timeline for the road repair work? Additionally, I would appreciate any updates or progress reports regarding the resolution of this matter.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I look forward to your prompt response and the swift resolution of the road repair issues on Springfield Road.

Dear Tsholo

Thank you so much for your email. I am no longer the Ward Councillor for
this area, but am the DA Political Head for Midrand. Your Ward Councillor
is Councillor Lerato Mphefo and I have copied her in on this reply. In
addition, her telephone number is 0827609043. I urge you to make contact
with Cllr Mphefo so that she can add you to one of her service delivery
WhatsApp Groups where she regularly updates residents on issues.

I am sure Cllr Mphefo will respond to your email - as I have done - but do
wish to alert you to the fact that JRA has been particularly tardy in
addressing service delivery challenges such as potholes in the last couple
of months. The reasons for this vary from day to day - and is a very
definite strategy being used in the run-up the the May 2024 elections.

Best regards,
