Good day Minister,

As a concerned citizen,I have a suggestion on how cash in transit heists can both be prevented and detected.

Can the Security companies be urged to install security panic buttons in the cash in transit vehicles and also employ an armed response or deploy the members of the South African Police Service to tail these vehicles and give these vehicles a 30 minute lead such that if a heist occurs, the tailing response team can be alarmed and respond to the alarm in order to stop the crime in progress on time as well as be able to make arrests if possible.

It is preventive if criminals know that the vehicles are being tailed and protected but should they make an attempt to commit the crime,it is detective because the response teams can attend to such crimes while they are in progress.

Kind regards.
