Dear Dr. Schreiber,
A family member entered SA and was given 90 days. In the interem, they have applied for, and been granted an ID and passport through decent.
Why are HA insisting they have to leave the country and re enter in order to cancel the visa and not be deemed to overstay.
Surely all information is captured digitally, and can be rectified at an immigration office. Urgent assistance is required.
