I have been victimised in the truest sense of the word since 2017.
I have lived in Moreleta Park for 18 years and in that time have never had any issues in regard to my municipal accounts. In 2017, my post box was accessed whilst there was a 'strike', I put that in inverted commas because that was the reason I was given by the post office for not receiving my accounts.I had to obtain my account balances by telephone on the self-help line and then I requested that my accounts be emailed. That was done, with the exception of one account, which was sent a month later with an amount added on for water that I did not owe. I went to the municipal offices in Centurion to find out how it could have arisen that I was being billed for water to the value of R 14 000. I ascertained that my account number was connected to a water meter in another extension. I refused to pay this. I was 'scolded' and told to pay up as it was owed and I was dealt with very rudely. Later in the month my power was cut off.
I was given a final demand for R 11 000+ and told to pay this or have no power.
I had no choice, and as my daughter needed the power, I was forced to pay this.
It was/is extortion.
The account was settled in full, but a month after that another amount for 'SECURITY' was added on and this time it was R 8000.00.
Fearing being cut off again, I paid it.
Again the account was settled in full and not in arrears, whatsoever, but then there was another amount and another and I have refused to pay any of this as it is totally unlawful, in fact when I last checked EXTORTION is a capital crime.
Every time I have been to the police to open a criminal case, I have had some form of harm or sabotage done to my property, my animals have been stolen or killed and we have been threatened.
Recently, I received an email purporting to be from a legal firm, requesting this:
" we require R 9000 to the municipality and R 750 to the lawyers account listed below for us to make an arrangement for you". Which is ENTRAPMENT and just WRONG.
I did my own investigation and it seems to be a syndicate of white collar criminals acting as attorneys when in fact they are part of the municipal staff and have the same first names as those in the marketing dept of the CITY of TSHWANE but different surnames.
This is VICTIMISATION and ABUSE OF POWER and position and theft.
If this could be looked into it would be most helpful and it may also have been done to others, who may benefit from your involvement.
I will not be giving out my name or number or contact details for fear of being attacked and hurt even more than we have already, such is the nature of this CRIMINAL.
I trust this will be understood.
I have taken the matter up with a criminal attorney in any event, but this needs to be addressed within government, where it originated.
Change all the staff in Centurion and Town, where the main accounts department is, and send the current staff to clean toilets in prisons, as a suggestion and then employ honest people who are willing and grateful to do an honest days work for an honest days pay at twice the speed, as a suggestion...Result: Happy citizens!
