I trust this message finds you well, I'm writing this message in the hopes that someone will finally Listen to us, I have tried Reaching out to KZN health Minister and I have also sent an email to our president with no response.

I'm a Transgender female Based in Durban and just like myself there are Hundreds if not thousands of other Transgender women/men that are not receiving the support we should be given we have no clinics that assist Transgender patients with HRT( hormone replacement therapy) Feminizing hormone therapy is used to alter our hormone levels to match our gender identity. Typically, people who seek feminizing hormone therapy experience discomfort or distress because their gender identity differs from their sex assigned at birth or sex-related physical characteristics (gender dysphoria) it plays a huge role in our life and it really is a requirement, We can not go to our local Clinics or Government hospitals because the staff are not trained to deal with Transgender patients nor do they have the treatment for us, they rather issue Birth control pills which can be harmful to our health .

Cities like JHB,CPT and PE have Clinics that assist Transgender patients ( wit's RHI Trans health Clinic) and everything is free they receiving proper treatment besides that members from the LGBTIQA community are able to visit the Clinic to have HIV and TB test and treatments done there without being discriminated . Yes HRT is available via a private Dr but most of us can not afford it because we are unemployed due to discrimination within the workplace, I hope that you get the chance to read this message it really is important for us to get the assistance we need .
