Dear Ms Barbara Creecy,

I really hope you would be able to assist me.

I work for a Fibre Installation Civil Construction company which is based in the south of Johannesburg.
We work nationwide.

We are one of a few surviving Long Haul fibre installers in the country.

The main reason is the plant we have brough from Germany. At first, we had them do the work but decided to purchase the assets because it is cheaper than buying the tyres etc from Germany when we can have it made locally and we do not need to pay them to do the work.

My problem is that the winch truck is a left-hand driven truck and I cannot get it licensed in SA. It needs to be on the road to get from site to site but it operates off road where the duct gets installed.

I have not been successful to get the exemption letter for Left Hand Drive so I can register and license them.

I can send you pictures of the special truck in question.
These do not get manufactured in South Africa.

Can you please be so kind and assist me?
