My 78 year old mother went to New Hanover Home Affairs and was told she needed to book an appointment online. She came home to Howick and we booked the appointment for today from 12 to 1pm Ref: YNF-CNGMJ-5-APT. She did not even make it into the building. She stood outside from 11.20am. I tried to phone the branch and the manager. No one answered the phones. What is the point of these appointments if the public does not get served? Appointments are supposed to reduce the queues in your branches. There is no communication from the staff to the public waiting outside. It is a desperate situation. Please intervene.
