I have been impressed with the improvement in turnaround for documents needed such as passports etc and was pleasently surprised that this was turned around in about a month.

I do however have a concern. My son has contacted the High Commission by email on several occasions regarding my need to apply for a South African ID card and passport, but unfortunately has not received any response. I have also tried to contact the High Commission by telephone many times, but despite a couple of dozen attempts, the phone has not been answered.

He needs to apply for the new ID card and passport, and VFS has said the only way to do this is through the High Commission.

Your support in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
