Dear Dr Schreiber, I applied for an unabridged birth certificate for a family member living in France on 8 October 2025. After numerous calls to Home Affairs Pretoria and many requests to archives for escalation, it seems the documentation can not be found in archives. I have also handed in the forms 24 and 288 on 16 January 2026 at my local Home Affairs office including certified copies of parents ID's and marriage certificate. I have just spoken to someone at Home Affairs Pretoria and the Unabridged Birth Certificate is still unavailable. It has been 4 months and I am at a loss. Please could you assist with this matter?
