Dear Fatima Ismail Chohan
Anonymous has sent you the following message via People's Assembly (https://www.pa.org.za/)
Dear Ms Chohan
My sons passport expires in October 2018. He will be travelling
abroad in June 2018 and in order for him to obtain a visa he
requires a balance of 6 months validity in his passport. We wish
to apply for his visa in May to ensure all is done tmeously. We
have been asked to pay R400 premium over and above the regular
R400 cost of the passport as his passport hasn't yet expired From
past experience we have waited over 4 mnths for my daughter's
passport and should the same happen this time he will not be able
to travel. Most countries require a minimum of 6 mnths validity in
a passport and South Africans require visas to most 1st world
destinations. How is it possible to overcome this. Also he is a
minor so that charge is ridiculously high.
Please advise .....
