good day
I`m Vuyokazi from George a mother of two boys I`ve been applying at George Preparatory school for 3 consecutive years my application has been rejected because I`m staying in Thembalethu not in town. I've went to District office of education to seek help , I`ve been speaking to people from there including the circuit manager of the school that has been rejecting my children application but there was no solution towards my problem. then i did appeal to the western cape minister of education instead of helping me to get space for my children they told me i must take my children to Rosemoore Primary school. the Ministers outcome was base on the feeder zone as they state that its closer to but according to western cape regulation it state that `The WCED has not determined any feeder zones for public schools in the
Western Cape. Admission of learners to all public schools should be within the
prescripts of the law` but the Ministers office solution was base on what they say it should not be a factor. Now i did apply for 2020 they still rejected my children application again. Last week i send email to Matsie Angelina Motshekga PA seeking for help, they state that they will request western cape colleagues to attend the matter my concerned is that i started with them seeking for help but they never been able to assist me what difference will be done . all i want to know is my Sin to stray in Thembalethu that makes my children to be denied their right to best education? Because the other school was having the same education quality why they dont refer the children who stays in town to the school they referring mine. Hope you will understand from my point of view too Minister in whatever out coming you taking bare in mind that the school that i want my children to be admitted in its close to my work and its opposite to the aftercare they will be attending and it will be cost effective for me because the children will travel with me to school and for the aftercare they will cross the road from school to the aftercare without me paying the separate transport.
thanks in advance for the help with hope that you will rule in my favor.
regards
