Good day Minister,

My daughter has had the honour of being selected to represent team SA in the Region 5 gymnastics competition in Zimbabwe in December.

I rushed off to Home affairs, Heidelberg, to apply for her passport only to be told that my finger prints were not on the system, strange but apparently true. I then rushed off to Lenasia Home affairs to apply for a new ID and have my finger prints verified (it was mentioned while at Lenasia that this could of actually been done at Heidelberg) I was told this verification would take 2 months. I later phoned your call centre who informed me this could actually only take 14 days. Great!! but I then still need to apply and wait for her passport. She needs to travel in December for this competition.

I am hereby appealing to you for a fast-track of these travel documents and the measures required beforehand as it would be a real shame for someone of her talent not to able to represent her country only due to systematic delays.

Please please assist her to get to this dream event, I believe this will be the first of many.
