Dear Mr Leon Schreiber,

I foster a student in matric at Wynberg Boys High School, he applied for his ID to enable him to write his matric and apply for university in 2025. Unfortunately, his application was rejected as there is an issue with his ID number on his birth certificate. I approached home affairs, but they are not willing to assist in anyway.

As a last resort I have enguaged immigration attorneys to assist, but I have been told this can up to a year for a response. In the interim the students future is on hold as he has no ID and cannot apply for anything without an ID.

If you could please assist in resolving, we would be extremely grateful.
