I voted ACTION SA in 2021 and 2024, your joining and knowing your work and experience. I convinced family, friends and people I meet and have developed relationships from the laborers and security guards etc to vote ACTION SA. I now have many of these people approaching me feeling betrayed. I must say I feel some what the same.
I have watched your interviews on social media and sense your discomfort (this is the only factor that has given me some hope and the reason for my message to you) even though you are holding your unelected leader/senate line.
Your party leadership are still not elected, I recently recieved a email to renew my membership this is pending.
The policies and path chosen by ACTION SA lately make no sense to me, especially the internal inconsistencies in the party and Mashaba himself (who now appears to own the party). Another example is this populist approach of insourcing non core activity employees such as security and cleaning employees. This is out of nature of both Mashaba and ACTION SA and what they advocated, serving the people at large, appears to be politiking. Not sure how this special interest group/unions fit into the professed policies of ACTION SA and MASHABA (A confused businessman with a social justice leaning, which I agree with, who is just losing it now).
