Aaron Maistry has been trying for about a week to put through his appeal to NSFAS and the system is not allowing him. He received notification from NSFAS advising he was unsuccessful. His father passed away on 9 th May 2020. His father has been unemployed for over 10 years due to illness. His mother 7 years ago also became very sick and was medically boarded off. The family survived on her reduced salary. After her expenses of Rental, lights and water, food, transport etc she is not in a position to provide finances for her son Aaron Maistry to pursue his studies. In Aaron's appeal he has submitted father dead certificate and mothers evidence of disability and mothers disability salary slip and motivation letter. Please give Aaron an opportunity to go to university as none of his siblings could afford the opportunity and he being the youngest it was his father's dream to see his youngest child go to university. I live in township in Chatsworth one of the poorest section of Chatsworth. It has been so difficult for Aaron losing his father and with covid being in Matric. I am pleading for financial assistance for Aaron Maistry or he will be another statistic like his brothers with no opportunity to further his education
