Minister we have a problem at Lamontville it looks like the workers of Sassa are using covid 19 protocols as shield . Many customers of Sassa who intend to reapply and apply for grants are being turned back home by a gentleman whom l believe is a supervisor or manager claiming that they are short staffed because many of the staff members are dying quarantined due to covid 19 pandemic.

This has been happening since Monday 06/01/2021up to date,myself and others for instance we have been turned back home three days or more in a row.The big concern about this exercise people rights are being overlooked and disrespected because old age people chronic as they are not considered as priority and some people have their grants lapsed and they can't renew them,some they depend on grants they have no food at homes yet they are on medication .I for one see that as full disrespect, unacceptable and people's rights being undermined

Minister I on behalf of people of Lamontville and myself hereby requesting your urgent intervention because I even tried to communicate with Sassa at regional and national but in vain.

The worst part of it, today we arrived at sassa office at 08h00 o'clock or so but to our surprise and shock we were turned back without being attended.
and on fridays it's a tendency.

I will appreciate and be glad if I remaine anonymous to avoid victimization.
