Yesterday 7th April I coincidentally met a lady I assume in her late twenties who is struggling to come into terms with her tragedy. She said she is highly stressed and frustrated, she lived with a boyfriend whome they have 4 kids with, 3 boys aged between 8 and around 1.5 years the youngest, a girl who is 12(dont know the other boys age). She says her kids were raped by their own father, the boyfriend she has been living with for years. She caught him red handed when she came back from work unexpectedly early. The boyfriend raped all 3 boys and the girl. She reported the case in december 2019 but there hasn't been much done by the police(the police didn't have a van to go find him) so he still not been questioned or arrested. She is now hiding at a house of hope where she and her kids are not receiving any form of counselling. She attepted suicide as she feels its the only way out of her misery. The rapist ran away, she doesn't know where he is but his sisters contact her to find out if she laid charges or not. I am wondering how many other kids life are being destroyed by the same guy as we speak. Looks like he is not alright himself. This womans kids act out the ordeal I believe they gotten so used to this so much that they kindof miss it. Can you imagine how she feels everytime she sees her kids do that one by one, at different times! Life sucks at times hey. One of the boys said dont worry mom, when im bigger I will buy a gun and kill my dad. I am saddened by this so much that I had sleepless night. I know we are currently faced with the covid19 pandemic but it should not stop us from helping those that are in dire need. This woman told me the story as she got in the car, she didnt know me but she knew the woman I was with, that on its own tells how troubled she is. I appeal to everyone who can assist this family as a matter of urgency. These people needs counselling, kids need to come back to life, they need hope, education, comfort that after all life is not that bad. Dont really know which social development dept I should approach but I believe those that can assist will take iflt from here. I took her details for further assistance.
Thank you.
