Good morning Minister.
I have children in primary schools in Pretoria and are very disappointed and heart broken today to inform you mam that uor schooling system is in shambles as, there is racism among the kids (black children telling white children they are things and must get out of there vision) my son was told that after just attending school for a week, and the teachers are abusing there might on our children.
This morning was the first time that my daughter that is a very bubbly and loving sole, said school feels like jail time. She is only 8 years old and already feels like that and her friends feel the same way. My son whom is in GR7 a different school also says the teachers are rude and constantly pick on the children. And he is going to leave South-Africa as soon as he finishes school. So we are losing the future because of schools/teachers changing our children's minds that this land we call he is not for them.
If you as a parent speak to the head office about what is going on and asks for a appointment, you would be lucky to receive a phone call from some one. After the call your child will be boelied in class for at least a week by all the teachers in his or her grade. And you as a parent can't get to then to sort out the situation because the teacher hides behind the convid-19 regulations that no parent is allowed on the premises.
What about the grade 1 children whom only started there schooling they a in shock and nervous each day but they have to enter the school completely on there own. No support structure from the schools at all. Walk in on your own and be strong that is all what the parents can do or say.
Please Minister, we are on stage 1 of the regulations and it is about time that we as parents of South Africa are allowed to enter the schools again, to give children some extra support and assistance.
Regards
A concerned Father
