Dear Minister,
In this chaotic period of the pandemic and the issue of the lost school days the following came to mind. Seeing that this is the ideal opportunity to extend this school year up to 31 March 2021 and there after the school years to change to be from 1 April to 31 March the following year.
It's will also be an opportunity to bring the school year inline with the budget year.
By extending this current school year to 31 March with a school holiday break the last 2 weeks of December will solve the scramble to have enough school days and hours in this year. There will be another three months till end March 2021 available for preparation for the years exams.
Minister, this is my humble contribution that might be of assistance.
I wish you and the committees God's best blessing in all the decisions that must be taken in this year's extraordinary circumstances.
